SAINT LUCIA (April 22, 2015) – The culinary prowess of yet another famed and celebrated Saint Lucia chef will be displayed to the world as mouth-watering culinary flavor is added to the 24th edition of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival.
Festival goers will be in for a treat when Soufriere-based Chef Orlando Satchell, delivers a one-of-a-kind culinary experience as part of a growing arts segment of the festival.
The world renowned Chef Orlando who specializes in Caribbean cuisine, will take centre stage at the home of the festival – Pigeon Island, displaying his culinary skills on three consecutive days beginning May 8.
“Placing the spotlight on our legendary fine cuisine and by extension our superbly talented chefs are testament to us further diversifying the arts component of the festival”, said Deputy Director and Head of Marketing for the Saint Lucia Tourist Board, Tracey Warner-Arnold.
“We began flavoring the festival in 2014 with our culinary ambassador Nina Compton and we are proud to continue with yet another internationally recognized but locally grounded chef in Orlando Satchell,” stated Warner-Arnold.
Festival patrons will be able to sample some of the delectable culinary creations as part of an open air cooking demonstration carded for the afternoon of Saturday May 9.
Patrons can however partake in the fine dining experience that includes a scrumptious three course menu by booking reservations. There is also a small, but carefully chosen wine list that pairs well with the cuisine and enhances the dining experience.
